In today’s fast-evolving automotive industry, excellence in vocational education and training (VET) is more critical than ever. Recognizing this need, our Erasmus+ project has embarked on a transformative journey to create a digital platform designed to foster transnational car mechanics skills competitions for European VET schools.

This platform is more than just a repository of resources; it is a comprehensive space to standardize, elevate, and celebrate the talents of aspiring car mechanics across Europe. By aligning the competitions with WorldSkills standards, we aim to ensure that participants are equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel on an international level.

What Makes the Platform Unique?

• Rich Theoretical Content

At the heart of our platform lies a robust bank of 400 theoretical questions, all curated in English. These questions cover essential aspects of car mechanics, providing participants with the foundational knowledge needed to succeed in both academic and practical settings.

• Practical Tasks with Professional Evaluation

Practical skills are the backbone of any VET program, and our platform showcases 12 detailed descriptions of hands-on tasks. Each task comes with a clear set of evaluation procedures, ensuring that participants understand what is expected of them and how they will be assessed. This approach mirrors the rigor and relevance of WorldSkills competitions, offering a realistic and high-standard experience.

• Multimedia Learning Experience

To bring the practical tasks to life, our team is working on filming a demo practical task, complete with English voiceovers. These video resources provide step-by-step guidance and visual clarity, making it easier for participants to understand and execute complex tasks. With the creative and dedicated efforts of Vilnius Car Mechanics and Business School’s talented VET teachers, the filming and editing process is well underway.

• Collaborative Creation Across Europe

This project is a true testament to the power of collaboration. All project partners are contributing to the creation of 12 additional practical tasks and related documentation. This collective effort ensures that the platform reflects diverse expertise and meets the varied needs of VET schools across Europe.
