GBBM Multiplier events in showcase created e-resources for car mechanics excellence

In September 2026, the Erasmus+ project “Good, Better, The Best Car Mechanic” (GBBM) (Project No. 2024-1-LT01-KA220-VET-000245227) reached a pivotal milestone. Partner organizations across all six participating countries successfully hosted a series of hybrid Multiplier Events—combining face-to-face workshops and interactive webinars—to introduce the project’s main tangible results to the European vocational education community.

Unveiling Turnkey Tools for Automotive Excellence

The focus of these events was the official presentation of the dedicated portal for registered schools at bestcarmechanic.eu. Designed to optimize how VET institutions train automotive students and host skill competitions, the platform offers:

  • 400+ Standardized Theory Test Questions: An online theoretical question bank equipped with randomized exam generation algorithms.
  • 12 Comprehensive Practical Task Kits: Turnkey practical task packages featuring competitor worksheets, judge scoring rubrics, and detailed video setup instructions.
  • Open Interactive Demos: Publicly accessible demo modules enabling teachers and students to test system functionality prior to school registration.

Engaging Key Stakeholders Across 6 Partnership Countries: Lithuania, Estonia, Czechia, Austria, France and Slovenia

The Multiplier Events served as an effective bridge between project developers and the wider public, fostering active dialogue and community feedback. Both local physical gatherings and online sessions brought together a diverse group of key automotive stakeholders:

  • Peer VET Schools & Educators: VET teachers, trainers, and heads of automotive departments looking to align their institutional testing with WorldSkills standards.
  • Industry & Enterprise Partners: Automotive dealership networks, repair centers, work-placement providers, and skills competition sponsors interested in bridging regional skill gaps.
  • Local Authorities & Policy Makers: Representatives from local education councils and regional VET governing bodies seeking standardized, scalable solutions for vocational quality assurance.
  • Program of Multiplier event with 42 participants in Vilnius (VET teachers and heads of automotive departments, Erasmus+ cooridinators) from across Lithuanian VET schools specalizing in car mechanics, can be reached here

Impact and Next Steps

By combining on-site physical demonstrations with wide-reaching webinars, the partner institutions ensured maximum accessibility and engagement. Participants were given hands-on demonstrations of the platform, guidance on school registration under open-access principles, and trial credentials for classroom usage.

The overwhelming interest from regional automotive networks confirms that digital innovation, resources for excellence, and cross-border collaboration are essential to equipping the next generation of car mechanics across Europe.
