How to Register & Use bestcarmechanic.eu

Welcome to https://bestcarmechanic.eu/ — a dedicated European e-platform developed within the Erasmus+ project framework (led by Vilniaus automechanikos ir verslo mokykla) to empower VET schools across Europe in organizing and participating in standardized, high-quality car mechanics skills competitions.

1.  Overview of Platform Benefits & Features

By registering your school on https://bestcarmechanic.eu/ , your institution gains access to:

  • Complete Competition Materials: A turnkey repository featuring 400 WorldSkills-aligned theoretical questions and 12 practical competition task stations.
  • Full Practical Packages: Each practical station includes instructional video guides for organizers, judges, and contestants, setup recommendations, wiring diagrams, competitor worksheets, and judging criteria sheets.
  • 1-Day Theory Trial Session: A simulated 1-day theory test trial for your students prior to competition events.
  • Partner Network & Alliances Base: A dedicated partner registration directory to help your school connect, build cross-border alliances, and co-host skills competitions with other European VET institutions.

2.  Registration Guide for Schools

VET institutions can register to unlock full access to the competition framework.

Option A: Public Partner Registration (Recommended for Networking)

  1. Navigate to https://bestcarmechanic.eu/ and click on Register / Join Partner Base or at info@bestcamechanic.eu .
  2. Complete your institution profile:
    • School Name & Official Address
    • Country & Contact Email / Website
    • Key Automotive Specializations (e.g., EV/Hybrid Systems, ADAS, Diagnostics)
  3. Submit the registration. Once verified, your school will appear in the Partner Base, allowing other European VET schools to discover you for skills alliances and Erasmus+ mobility partnerships at this stage you will also be asked to sublit school logo and a contact person name and e-mail address.

Option B: Confidential / Direct Access Registration

  • If your school wishes to access materials without being publicly displayed in the partner directory, select Confidential Registration during sign-up. You will receive full access to all resources while keeping your profile hidden.

3.  Accessing Competition Materials & Organization Tools

After registration with the platform, you will be able to have access to:

1. Theoretical Question Bank (400 Questions):
  • Access rotating question pools covering 6 key automotive areas: Internal Combustion Engines, Drivetrain, Chassis, Electric Equipment, Comfort & Safety Systems, and High-Voltage/EV Systems. On the competition day you will be able to get a link to automatically selected 100 theory questions that you will share with the participantin students of the competition. The link will be active for a number of hours on a specific date agreed upon prior to the competion day.
  • Anti-Cheating Feature: When generating an automated competition exam, the system randomly selects 100 uniform questions for all candidates, presenting them in randomized order to maintain testing integrity.
2. Practical Task Stations (12 Sets + 1 Open Demo) will be available to your school 2 months in advance before the competition date:
    • Download turnkey station folders and video materials containing:
      • Task Descriptions & Equipment Setup Recommendations
      • Wiring Schematics & Technical Diagrams
      • Competitor Worksheets & Judge Evaluation Worksheets
      • Video tutorials illustrating setup, correct task execution, and evaluation

    3.  Student 1-Day Theory Trial Session

    After registration with the platform, to help students prepare, understand the test interface, and know what question formats to expect, schools can get an activate a 1-time 2 hours Theory Trial link.

    · How to Set Up a Trial Session:
    1. Contact the eu team in advance (info@bestcarmechanic.eu) .
    2. Schedule the 1-day trial
    3. You will get a generate temporary student access credentials or a trial group

    4.     Student Experience:

    • Students should be supervized by the school during the activated 2-hour window to take a trial theory test.
    • They experience real competition type theory testing environment , including multiple-choice, component identification, matching tasks, and technological workflow ordering.
    • Immediate scoring summaries are provided to educators upon trial completion (they are sent to the contact person of the school).
    • Please, abide by non-disclosure policy regarding sharing the e-resources with platform non-registered users.

    5.  Expanding Your School’s Partner Network & Skills Alliances

    Registering on bestcarmechanic.eu helps elevate your school’s international profile:

    • Forming Skills Alliances: Find European partner schools to establish joint automotive skills competitions, regional tournaments, or Erasmus+ KA2 cooperation partnerships.
    • Shared Benchmarking: Compare student performance against European WorldSkills standards to enhance curriculum quality and institutional attractiveness.
